ENWAGS has been formed out of a desire
and conviction to facilitate the development of women and girls through sport thereby empowering them to make a significant
contribution towards development in Sierra Leone.
In 2007, ENWAGS embarked on a project entitled
‘Promoting Sporting Skills among Women and Girls in Sierra Leone’, mainly to ensure active and productive participation
in sports by women and girls especially the less fortunate ones for sustainable skills development. This includes working
with all stakeholders and other organizations for the development of women and girls as sport coaches, administrators, leaders
and decision makers at a national and international level.
